1Cost and package

How much does a nose job cost in Istanbul?

At Milano Clinic rhinoplasty in Istanbul costs from €2,250. Revision rhinoplasty costs more because it is usually more complex; your final price is confirmed in writing after an online consultation with your photos.

What is included in the rhinoplasty package?

The package includes the operation, the hospital stay, airport and hospital transfers, an English-speaking interpreter and aftercare. Your tests and an in-person consultation with your surgeon take place before the operation.

What is not included?

Flights and the hotel are not included. We can help you book a hotel close to the hospital for the rest of your stay.

2Your trip to Istanbul

How long do I need to stay in Istanbul?

Plan about 7 to 10 days in Istanbul. This covers the tests, the operation, the hospital stay and the check-up when the splint is removed, usually after about a week.

When can I fly home?

You fly home once your surgeon clears you, normally after the splint is removed. Book a flexible return ticket in case your check-up is moved.

Where does the operation take place?

Rhinoplasty is performed in a hospital, usually under general anaesthesia. The hospital stay is part of the package.

3Open or closed rhinoplasty

What is the difference between open and closed rhinoplasty?

In open rhinoplasty a small incision is made across the skin between the nostrils, which gives the surgeon a direct view of the tip. In closed rhinoplasty all incisions are inside the nose, so there is no visible scar.

Which technique is right for me?

It depends on what needs to change, especially the tip, and on whether you have had nose surgery before. Your surgeon recommends the technique after examining you; the choice should follow your anatomy, not a trend.

Can breathing problems be corrected at the same time?

Often yes. A deviated septum can be corrected during the same operation, which your surgeon assesses at the consultation.

4Recovery and results

What does recovery look like?

You wear a splint for about a week. Bruising and most of the visible swelling usually fade within 2 to 3 weeks, and many people return to desk work after about 10 to 14 days.

When will I see the final result?

The final shape takes 12 months or longer. Swelling of the tip goes down slowly, especially with thicker skin, so early photos do not show the final result.

What are the risks?

Swelling, bruising and a blocked nose are common at first; bleeding, infection, breathing problems and asymmetry are possible. Some patients need a revision, and results vary from person to person.
